in my previous nitro 5, there was a fn shortcut for that and a keyboard shortcut for sleep too, probably my most used functions. Is there a way I can get that on my predator? espescially turning off the screen feature?

Hi, in the Search bar type "Define Power buttons" and change "When I press the Power Button", to Sleep (see picture). After that only tap the power button lightly for sleep mode don't press the power button for >3 seconds as that will abort the system and may corrupt system files.

i forgot to mention that ive already done this before. When i press the power button for 2-3 the laptop does turn off the screen but automatically comes back on in 2 seconds. I also installed quick access from product support page for the power button option, but it has interfered with my display, which seems permanent now.

Try fn + f5, fn + f6 or f5, f6 to turn off the display screen backlight to save power.

It is like a toggle key. If you press the fn + f5, fn + f6 or f5, f6 again screen will come back.

the fn keys are all assigned already, for brightness low and high, none of the fn keys have shortcuts relating to sleep or turn off display, that is my major crib.

Uninstall Acer Quick Access and Acer Care Center in Windows Add or remove programs and after rebooting check in Windows Services that the accSVC and qaSVC are no longer running, stop these services and disable the Startup type in Properties, click Apply and OK. Edit Power Plan and click on Reset to factory default also in the Advanced settings. There is a conflict in the Windows registry that is causing this problem and the only way to get rid of it is to Clean install Windows11. Note that Turn Off the screen has been replaced by Window Project, F7 key or Windows Key + P and is no longer possible unless you switch to an external monitor in project.
