Do a battery report and post that report as a PDF to us on this post, as you can save the webpage as a PDF so that we can look at all aspects of your battery condition and how its charging.

If your Aspire 3 laptop is older than 4 years and you haven't changed the battery, then your battery is due for a new battery as losing 63% of its Design Charge means that your laptop either doesn't charge the battery properly or your laptop is older than 4 years old and needs a new battery. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

How to do a Battery report Windows 10 or Windows 11, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator:

You can do this by searching for “cmd” in the Windows search bar, right-clicking the top result, and selecting “Run as administrator.”

    2. Enter the following command fully:

    powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery_report.html"

This command will create a battery report and save it as an HTML file named “battery_report.html” in the root of your primary drive (usually the *C:* drive).

    3. Access the battery report:

    Open File Explorer.

Click on This PC in the left navigation pane.

Under the “Devices and drives” section, double-click the “C” drive.

Double-click to open the “battery_report.html” file in your browser.

Note: to save the battery report web page as a PDF file do the following (this is MS Edge example) go to the three dots … at the top right corner of your battery report web page > Print > Change the printer to Microsoft print to PDF as this will give you a PDF page and save that to your desktop.
