Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire C24-1700 and the power button keeps getting stuck in the pressed position. It is getting stuck behind the frame of the button. Is it possible to replace the button somehow? Any tips on how to get this fixed?

Many thanks,

SuzieMC

If it's the little tact switch that mounts on the board, try de-ox cleaner BUT it is best to replace with a new switch or possibly the complete PC board by googling the numbers on the board. Be sure that the replacement board has the tact switch include

Ebay has lots of the boards with the switch. The tact switches are available too but has to be unsoldered and soldered back in.

Just taking that plastic cover off might show gunk around the button itself. Clean it off so it moves easily and you should be OK.
