PT314-51s RAM Upgrade/Compatibility

First I am planning on upgrading/adding more RAM to my laptop and I read that the maximum amount is 24GB.
In the command prompt, I checked the current removable dimm made by SK Hynix.
As for a replacement, I was thinking about a Corsair Vengeance 1x16GB kit but I am not entirely sure if the RAM would still run in dual channel mode for the most performance and if there are any drawbacks.

Maximum Memory 24GB. Maximum Memory for the Slot is 16GB. Crucial states 40GB maximum RAM, 32GB/slot. There is only one SODIMM slot for memory upgrades. In addition to that, there is 8 GB RAM soldered to the motherboard. Crucial recommends up to 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM CT16G4SFRA32A Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com Check the DDR4 specifications of the DDR4 8GB module you installed if they match the Crucial DDR4. For best results you should match the speed (MHz) and CL of the soldered RAM, to find the part number of the soldered DDR4 run CPU-Z or paste this in the Command Prompt: wmic memorychip list full Google the part number and buy exactly the same specs. Avoid Corsair Vengeance as BIOS does not support XMP profile, Kingston Fury Impact may work as that module switches to Standard JEDEC mode if XMP is not supported.
