I was gaming on my laptop. It's the Predator Helios series. I was playing FIFA 23. The laptop screen went black, but the fan was still running. I then pressed the power button, and the laptop shut down. Then I open the laptop and press the power button the keyboard lights are on and the fan is running but the screen is black. There is no logo on the pc doesn't start.

I waited a few weeks until the battery finished then I put on the charger and tried it open. it crashed a few times but in the end, it started working. then the next day it became like before, I tried an external monitor with no display. I tried replacing the ram still not working. then I waited a week and plugged in the charger after the battery drained out it opened. A message was displayed saying there was a problem with Windows i reset the computer every everything was good I switched it off the next day and back to the start. It powers on there is no sound or the PREDATOR display the keyboard has lights fan is working nothing else is. I am from Kathmandu Nepal there isn't an Acer service center here and I tried a few places it resulted in nothing. Pls help.

Your Predator Helios 300 (it would help if you told us the exact model number like PH315-XX?) has a frozen or faulty EC chip that programmed to command these functions of power on/off, boot functions, screen etc etc but and also there is the Chipset chip that a also handles commands of your laptop, so lets hope that your laptop doesn’t have a faulty Chipset chip as that is permanent and can’t be changed and/or programmed like and if a faulty EC chip can.

Do a Hard Reset and see if that works. Take the main battery out first, disconnect the bios battery and then short the bios batteries + & - pins at the mainboard plug and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight) and then reconnect everything and if you have 2x ram modules only connect 1x ram module first and alternate the ram to see if the bios resets and the laptop boots properly.

If the hard reset doesn’t work then it could be that the NVidia gpu is faulty and is not being recognized, which you need to take your laptop to a technician so that the laptop can be diagnosed and the fault pinpointed exactly to where it is. Good luck and hope this give you a general idea of the problem that you are facing.
