Acer Predator ph315-51random FPS drops in games. Need Help!

I have an acre predator ph315-51 (2018) with an i5 and an nvidia gtx 1050ti. I bought the system used for around 400$. Whenever I’m in games I’ll get random fps drops from 150fps to 15-30. I’ve tried looking at drivers and manuals on the official website but they are all out of date. I’ve tried looking for bios updates cause the last time the bios was updates was 2019 still nothing on the page. I’ve downloaded recent drivers for nvidia through GeForce experience and I’ve even downgraded back to windows 10 but still no help at all. After support doesn’t want to help because it’s out of warrant but I really need help! My system should be running way better than this (and yes it’s plugged in while gaming).

check if GPU/CPU temperatures are going to above 90°C while gaming.

Re-apply a good thermal place (liquid metal). If this is daunting, then just go do points 2 to 4 instead. Use a laptop cooler underneath. Turn up the air condition or game in an airconditioned room. Turn down the graphics setting of your games - you suffer some detail, but you get smoother FPS. Remember that the GPU on laptop is a subpar version of it’s desktop sibling. So if a game’s recommended specs for a max setting is for an RTX3060 which you laptop has, put the settings at mid to lower.
