Acer Nitro 5 - AN515-51 laptop not using Nvidia GPU for games, stuck on Integrated GPU

Hi

I have recently started getting an issue whilst gaming on my laptop. When a game loads, the laptop is not switching to the Nvidia GPU and instead utilises the integrated GPU instead.

I have tried disabling the iGPU but that has not helped. Could it be a driver issue with the Nvidia GPU or the iGPU ?

I have changed the settings so that the game uses the GPU as priority but it does not change

I am currently lost on how to get this resolved.

Try to add game.exe in Windows graphics settings and set High performance for Dgpu.

I have done this but isdue still present. After about 5 minutes the laptop utilises the cpu which jumps to over 80% whilst the GPU sits at 10%.

Everything stutters and then laptop shuts down on its own.

I have made sure that the game runs on gpu but it seems that the laptop isn't switching over

-Set the preferred graphics processor to "High-performance NVIDIA processor" in the NVIDIA Control Panel .

-Check for bios update

-Make sure using high performance plan
