Hi all, I have an Swift SF314-42 and wanted to ask a quick question - my touchpad has stopped responding, despite trying the 'activate touchpad' button (Function + F7) - I wanted to reinstall the driver for this, but on the drivers page, it says, 'please reinstall serial I / O driver before installing touchpad driver'.

Two issues though:

1) There is no 'Serial I / O driver' listed, after putting in my serial number.

2) There is no actual Touchpad driver listed either, in the list of drivers ??

Can someone please advise?? Thankfully I have a bluetooth mouse, but I'd like my touchpad back, if poss.

Thanks.

SJ

First of all, if you have the functions keys in media mode then you need to use F7 instead of Fn-F7. Verify first if that is your issue. It's much more likely that than a driver problem. Next, there isn't a touchpad driver specific to the SF314-42 models. I believe it uses the generic Windows drivers instead of anything proprietary, so you can ignore the warning. Are you running Windows 10 still? I don't think Acer has released any W11 drivers…
