I bought I acer laptop around Xmas. In the month the mic doesn't seem to work, i bought an external mic which worked for two weeks but now the laptop wont use that either (external min works on different devices).

This is a major problem as I use the laptop to do video sessions with patients and I am having to use my phone of the time being.

any ideas what I can do?
