What model is your PC and what kind of keyboard are you using; integrated, wireless/USB or BT? If you are using an external KB with a laptop, disconnect that KB and uninstall the 2 KB drivers in Device Manager. Reboot.

I ran into a similar issue trying to fix my touchpad. I used a system restore to get the keyboard drivers back. Use the onscreen keyboard to type restore into windows search. This should take you to the restore widget (create a restore point). Try restoring to a point when the keyboard was working.
