Trying to add my wireless printer with my new acer laptop but will not connect.

Amazes me how big companies do everything they can to try and keep from talking to customers. Its give us your money and go away. Unbelievable. I bought a new acer laptop trying to add my wireless printer. It finds it when I select add devise but will not connect. My iPhone finds it and uses it, my 20 year old laptop finds it and uses it but this new one I got will not. I tried it every way I can think of but after half a day I am no closer to being able to print something up then I was this morning. After several hours of searching, I finally found a chat for acer but sat on hold for over an hour got nowhere. Any ideas?

Disable Firewall/Security Software

1. Open your security software (e.g., Windows Defender Firewall, antivirus program).
2. Locate the settings for allowed apps and devices.
3. Add an exception for your printer and save the changes.
4. Temporarily disable the firewall completely and try connecting again.

Reinstall Printer

1. Open the Settings app on your laptop.
2. Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
3. Select your printer and click Remove device.
4. Click Add device and select your printer from the list.
5. If prompted, choose the wireless connection option.

Enable Network Discovery

1. Open the Control Panel on your laptop.
2. Go to Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
3. Click on Change advanced sharing settings.
4. Expand the Private profile section.
5. Turn on Network discovery and File and printer sharing.
6. Save the changes and try connecting to your printer again.
