Acer nitro 5 AN515-57 fps drops in online games. Is this hardware or software issue?

hi guys, i purchased my acer nitro 5 AN515-57 about a year ago, i had this problem since the beginning.my problem is that i have a unusual fps drop in online games, its not the the case if i play that online game in offline mode like custom modes or story mode games, it is always ok in the first minuts of the game but suddenly it drops dramatically even to under 30fps, i try to ask people who may know but no one know what is happening with my laptop.

i just want to know if this hardware or software related, cause i had this problem since i bought this laptop, its really bothering me, i hope someone here can help me with this

If it's not happening in offline games then its probably not hardware. Online games like fortnite is very unoptimized use to lag and stutters on high end pc too. It's all about game optimization. From our side we can optimize Windows and Keep temperatures under 90°c.

Thanks, that was quite useful but i did most the things there, the fps increased but my main problem is still there, i mean the sudden fps drop after a minute of playing, the funny part is that in some matches it tatolly ok and stable, but some other matches it will be broken all the match

Check GPU/CPU temperature when you get lag or fps drops. Use msi Afterburner for real-time Monitoring. Check youtube to set up or for settings for real-time GPU/CPU Monitoring while playing games.

Your temperatures nay be going above 90°C.
