Acer TC-605 - My Microsoft account doesn't have a digital key! What do I do?

I have an Acer Aspire TC-605, I upgraded memory to 16 gigs and replaced HD with WD Blue 1TB. I had win 8.1 wanted to go to 10 Pro, bought a retail USB Drive and Key, nothing I do will let me install PRO it only installs 10 HOME. Downloaded from Microsoft and does the same thing making this retail useless! It keeps saying My Microsoft account doesn't have a digital key! What do I do? any help would be appreciated! TIA

    Thisis not an Acer problem or has anything to do with the TC-605 desktop. Try and update the bios to the last TC-605 version P11-B4L first and see if that allows your TC-605 to accept the Win-10 Pro key. If not, then the upgrade to Win-10 Pro is a Microsoft key problem and you need to contact Microsoft or the retailer who you bought the Win-10 Pro OS and key from, as the Microsoft key (if legit and you haven't been sold a copy?) then the Microsoft 25-digit Pro key should work and activate Win-10 Pro on your TC-605 desktop.

    Or see the Microsoft forum solution of "Unable to reactivate windows after a hardware change, even when Digital License was linked to account" and see if that solves your problem. Good luck and hops this helps you put.

    You may have purchased a W10Pro upgrade that only works if you have Windows10 already installed, you can no longer upgrade from Windows8 to Windows10 as upgrades won't be activated by Microsoft after January 2023.

    The Windows 10 Pro retail package you purchased should have an activation key included. Use that in Settings; System; Activations; Change Product Key and it will switch you from Home to Pro.
