I attempted to charge my laptop and realized that it had been some time yet the battery percentage had decreased. The laptop wasn't charging it seemed like so I checked the plug and charger to make sure everything was connected properly. Even then, the laptop showed that it was charging for a few minutes but quickly went away. I changed the plug location in case that was the reason why but it still didn't work. I checked the battery light and it was flashing when plugged in and continued to make to the charging sound over and over again but couldn't maintain the charging status. I attempted to reset the battery with a pin on the backside and waited to turn it on again but it still would not charge. I'm confused if this is some internal issue or if the charger/brick has issues. The laptop is an Acer aspire 3 which I had purchased towards the start of the year. Right now both the charging light and power light are flashing and I have no clue what's wrong.

Hi, not sure what you mean by "I changed the plug location" the 45-Watt brick power adapter for the A315-24P has a DC barrel plug and your laptop has only one DC socket? Aspire 3 models are A315-24P, A317-55P, and A3SP14-31PT which one is yours? These models can also be charged by a USB-C charger, if you use a USB-C charger make sure it is a 100-watt laptop charger with a fixed 10 Amp USB-C cord. The flashing LEDs indicate low battery charge or a bad battery and a bad power supply (adapter or USB-C charger).

So in case the outlet was the issue I began charging at another outlet but that didn’t work. I checked and the model of the laptop and it’s the A315-58-350L.
