Acer v3-572g-594b - upgrading old laptop to SSD

Hello,

I have a HDD disk in my old laptop which is really slow and I just want to add 2.5 SSD disk in place of dvd drive. To do that do I need to disassemble the entire device? Is there any easy way to that? I tried to remove one screw (marked in red) but dvd drive isn't coming out. Is that because there is no plastic covering drive which i lost few years ago? Any tips?

Consider also replacing the DVD with a caddy, you won't need that DVD drive. The 2.5" Sata-3 Samsung 870 Evo V-NAND up to 2TB is recommended.

Just some advice from someone that has used the Samsung 2.5" SSD drives for over 7 years and a long time in an Aspire V3-571G laptop. I suggest that you buy the new Samsung 870 EVO 2.5" SSD drive, as I've used a Samsung 1TB 850 EVO in my Aspire V3-571G for at least 7 years and its an excellent and quick drive and perfectly suitable for this laptop, I've also used the DVD space and put a caddy into it so that I can use the DVD SATA 3 plug as a plug for the old HDD as a slave backup drive, which works 100% and it uses the HDD light that shines through the DVD cover to signify the HDD working.
