Predator 5000 - PO5-655-UB22 - CPU is running HOT - HELP!

Hello All,

I just bought a Predator 5000 and absolutely love it. The only negative and its a big negative is how hot the CPU is running. While gaming I am getting temps from 80C all the way to 100C.

I did notice the fans were very up and down, so I did turn on the CPU fan and rear fan (all the way up even) up and still am getting very high temps.

I want to upgrade the CPU Cooler, but:

1) Am worried the Acer Warranty will be voided
2) Not sure what will fit, what is best, and if it will even solve my problem

I do have the option to return/exchange at Best Buy, but not sure if I will just end up with same issue again.

Please help!!!

    well, you have 2 choices.

return and get a pc with a 360AIO or install something better than what came with your pc.

acer desktops can only use dual fan air coolers or 240 AIOs.

the cases are too small for a 360!!@!!

what CPU did yours come with?

I live out in Albuquerque, NM and when I went the only other 2 they had were Alienware and Lenovo and less storage. I love the PC, but just worried about the temps.

    I have a i7 14700F in it. 32GB, 2 TB SSD, 4070 ti Super

Do you think something like a NH-U12A would fix the issue? I am definitely willing to upgrade cooling if I know what to get in terms of compatibility.

yes, for sure but i would own anything 13th-14th gen with all the instability issues going on.

    i returned the 14900K i had for a 12900K.

Intel just announced a set of updates to handle stability issues with 13th and 14th gen CPUs. The NH-U12A upgrade will definitely help with temperatures. Most of the users who have reported back after the upgrade have said the improvement is significant, 10-15C or better.
