Hi there,

I have bought an acer gaming laptop called ED270R. When I plug the hdmi cord on my laptop, the monitor connects like usual and it is fine to use, no issues whatsoever.

But then, when I open a game, overwatch for example, it becomes too delayed and pretty much unplayable. I have switched the frames to 144 HZ, but the issue hasn't been solved

My laptop is an Acer Nitro 5, and I never had any issues with it until now, trying to play games with a connected monitor.

I have no idea where to look for answers, or how to trouble shoot this, so I decided to ask this question, to see if anyone has any idea on what the issue may be, as I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Thank you

Which Nitro 5 model do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like AN5xx-xxx-xxxx. On some the GPU is used for the builtin screen, but not for the HDMI port…
