TravelMate P249 (TMP249-G3-MG-53NA) regarding SSD and RAM upgrade.
Tinkerer
- Which is compatible for my M.2 Slot, M.2 NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD?
- Is it possible and will work if I upgrade my pre-installed 2.5'' HDD to SSD and also put a M.2 SSD to my M.2 slot?
- Can I upgrade my RAM to 16GB? 8gb on RAM 1 and also 8gb on RAM 2.

Check your other thread about the NVMe SSD:
you can replace the 2.5" HDD boot drive for a 2.5" Samsung 870 Evo V-NAND Sata-3 SSD up to 2TB. Use an external USB backup HDD case like Seagate Backup Plus ($80) up to 4TB to backup your complete HDD using Image file creator in W7 BU app Control Panel, install the 2.5" SSD (same connector as the HDD) and restore the VHD image file from the USB drive to the new 2.5" SSD. BTW that VHD image file can be mounted in Windows10-11 File Explorer for browsing/copying your backed up data.
Yes, you can upgrade to 16GB (2x8GB kit) $43 at Crucial: Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT2K8G4SFS824A | Crucial.com
