Hi

I wanna know if I need to put my Acer nitro v15 on charge for a particular time (hour). Some laptops need to be charged for like 8 hours or 24 hours when charging them for the first time. So, should I do such thing with my Acer nitro v15 for the first time charging?

No, leave your power adapter or USB-C charger connected 24/7 to ensure the battery is 100% charged at all times. There is no difference in charging procedure between an Out Of Box laptop or a 10-year-old one. Acer will have done the mandatory Full Charge Cycle in the factory, if the box was not sealed, the retailer may have replaced the battery or installed Windows and skipped the Full Charge Cycle and it that case you should do this Full Charge Cycle: Charge till the amber battery LED turns blue and wait an extra 10 minutes, boot to Windows and verify that the battery meter on the taskbar reads 100%, Disable Hibernate and Fast Startup in "Change what closing the lid does" and in "Change settings currently unavailable" and reset the Power Plan to factory default in "Edit Power Plan". Unplug the adapter/charger and work with your laptop till it turns off on its own, don't suspend/sleep mode and don't press the power button, just close the lid, you will not have lost any data. Plug in the adapter/charger and charge again till the amber battery LED turns blue and wait an extra 10 minutes. That's it. 😉
