My pc specs are i5-9400f, GTX 1650 and 8gb ram in single channel, but I would like to switch to 16gb. I have seen another forum about this exact topic but they recommended CL22 ram, despite CPU-Z telling me my CL latency is 19. So what would be the best upgrade of ram possible in this case? (in terms of better frequency and performance)

The CL in these laptops like CL19 to CL22 doesn't make much of a difference as far as RAM response is concerned or to performance, if your Nitro has 8GB DDR4 at CL19 RAM type then match the same CL19 RAM specs that CPUz shows for your Nitro laptop and put the exact 8GB CL19 module in the 2nd RAM slot, as the best performance is when both ram modules have the same specifications and are closely matched as possible for example DDR$-3200Mhz CL22 type ram needs to be as closely matched manufacturer wise and spec wise to each paired modules and not matched with a DDR4-2666MHz CL19 type module. Just as an example my 11th Gen Intel Nitro runs DDR4-3200MHz CL22 at 32GB is a matching kit from Crucial of 2x 16GB DDR4-3200Mhz CL22 modules which is the ideal for ram performance upgrades. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
