Nitro AN517-42 Black Screen Keyboard Lit Blue Power Light On after NET Framework update

Hi helpful folks!

Last night I had a very slow Windows NET update run (the stuff that installs right before a Win 11 update), the 2H24 update, and I left it on overnight because it was getting late and I had to work the next day. Today, the PC is unresponsive BUT the keyboard is lit, the little blue power light on the side is lit, and no response to any keys (including the monitor toggle, I tried). I can't find a reset pinhole anywhere (!) and the manual doesn't show one in its photos. I unplugged the power adaptor to let it drain the battery (SLOWLY) - is there a better way to get this to go "dead" since I can't get it to reboot? I figure once it runs down (or I take out the battery, which I'd prefer not to do), I let it sit for an hour, then plug in the power adaptor and see if it will reset (that has worked for me with other laptops when an install hangs).

Help Please!

Of course, after posting I finally found the directions for battery reset on this model - hold down the power button for 12+ seconds (I thought I had done that, but… must have been 11). I took out a stopwatch and held it down, and all rebooted as expected. You can close this string!
