Hello, I have a `A315-53 ASPIRE 3 laptop that I bought a new wifi 6E card for to extend the range and throughput, and the wifi works great, but the laptop doesn't recognize the Bluetooth section of the card.

After installing the new card, no matter what I tried, from windows repair in dos popup window. to deleting all existing traces of previous Bluetooth drivers/installs, I just can't get the Bluetooth to be recognized.

The older stock Qualcom Atheros QCA9377 card is narrower, and doesn't have the extra pins that the newer wifi cards have like the AX210NGW card that i'm trying to upgrade to (see attached picture).

I'm assuming that the motherboard is incapable/wired for these newer cards, unless the laptop just doesn't like this new card (new card functions fine in different laptop)

Has anyone with the same setup as me had any luck upgrading their narrow stock Qualcom wifi card to something better ? Dear God… Please tell me what card you used if so.

Can anyone give me an answer as to why this laptop won't recognize the Bluetooth on the new card?

Thanks for your time!!

Your Aspire A315-53 laptop has an oem fitted AC type Wi-Fi/BT cards that is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED* at 802.11ac like I’ve included in the caption below from the Aspire A315-53 SG, DO NOT change these cards for other AX Wi-Fi 6E cards like the Intel AX219NGW that is a Wi-Fi CERTIFIED* at Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) as these cards are totally different and they will not work with your lap[top.

The below oem cards have Acer provided Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers for the Atheros and Intel cards that you should start with installing as the WLAN and BT part drivers of these cards will work 100% with your laptop.

OEM Aspire A315-53 laptops Wi-Fi/BT Cards

Hey, @windsorhollow . I plan to do the same in a couple of weeks, so I'll let you know how that goes. I feel like the answer "Do not replace your Wi-Fi card with a good one but use other ones I've recommended" does not solve my issue and probably does not solve yours as well. Maybe take a look at this post if you haven't - already https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/bluetooth-not-showing-in-device-manager-new-wi-fi/bbc4c734-103e-4d20-8fc9-5a858b45d5e1. Good luck! And let me know if you'd like an update once I've tried replacing the OEM fitted with AX210 NGW.
