The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58 does technically support G-Sync, but the implementation may not be straightforward and users have reported many problems getting it to work reliably. Using external monitor with HDMI 2.1 port is the recommended approach, but the lack of a dedicated DisplayPort connection is a limitation.

    1. The laptop has an HDMI 2.1 port, which can be used to connect to a G-Sync compatible monitor and enable G-Sync functionality.
    2. However, the laptop does not have a dedicated DisplayPort connection, which is typically required to enable G-Sync. The USB-C port on the laptop can be used with a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, but this may not reliably enable G-Sync.
    3. Some users have reported issues getting G-Sync to work properly when connecting the laptop to a monitor via the HDMI port or USB-C to DisplayPort adapter. Disabling the integrated graphics card may be required, but this can cause other issues like losing the USB-C video output.

The GPU does support G-Sync, but the laptop display does not, and using G-Sync on an external monitor via HDMI 2.1 is also not very effective. Unless Nvidia rolls out new updates to fix this, you can research the compatibility status of G-Sync and HDMI.
