Encountered Error 8743 when attempting to install BIOS Update on Aspire TC-780-UR12

I was looking to update the BIOS on my computer (which is something I have had experience with before), going from R02-A3 to R02-B2. When I followed the steps of executing the FLASH.bat file detailed in the Win Flash Utility SOP document of the Appendix folder, it ran through the AMI Firmware Update Utility perfectly fine. But, when it tried to go through the Intel Firmware Update Utility, it immediately stopped, outputting the following error message:

It said:

"Error 8743: Unknown or Unsupported Platform

Cannot locate hardware platform identification

This program cannot be run on the current platform."

How severe is this error? Is this fixable? Is my system still usable after this point? I haven't even restarted yet, out of fear of my system suddenly becoming unbootable, and I'm not sure how to proceed. I would greatly appreciate some assistance on this.

Nevermind, I fixed it. So, while the computer was still on (like I mentioned earlier, I had not restarted once), I looked at Device Manager, and it turns out the Intel Management Engine Interface wasn't even in the list of devices. I concluded the drivers probably weren't installed for it, so I downloaded the Intel AMT drivers from the product support page for my device which included the components to get compatibility working for the Intel Management Engine. After installing, I looked at Device Manager again, and the Intel ME Interface was recognized. I proceeded to execute the flash.bat file again, and the BIOS update was successful.
