I recently got a Helios neo 16 and it made this weird high pitch sound. I sent it back because it was with in 14days. I got another Helios neo 16 just with a better GPU and again the same sound. I figured out that the sound is caused when the RGB light are turned off it makes the sound and when the light are turned on the sound stop. Should i be worried? the fact that both Helios neo 16 had made the sound and its not a very loud sound, you must put your ear to the keyboard to hear it. Is this just the design of the Helios neo 16 or a second faulty laptop?

The high-pitched noise you are experiencing with your Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptops is likely a common issue with this model and not necessarily an indication of a faulty device.

It appears that the high-pitched noise is often caused by the GPU cooling fan operating at high speeds, which can produce a buzzing or whining sound. This noise seems to be more noticeable when the RGB lighting is turned off, as the fans may run at higher speeds to keep the system cool without the additional heat generated by the RGB lights. This noise is less noticeable in high rpm. (Like its a Same way our home sealing fans do )

Many users have reported similar experiences with the Predator Helios Neo 16, and Acer technicians have confirmed that this noise is considered normal behavior for the laptop's cooling system. As long as the performance and functionality of the laptop are not affected, this high-pitched sound is likely not a cause for concern.

If the noise is not excessively loud and does not impact the overall performance of the laptop, it is likely just a design characteristic of the Predator Helios Neo 16 and not a defect.

By the way, my Nitro 5 does the same thing, and I was worried about it three years ago, but that worrying was a waste of time. My Nitro 5 is still working awesome. I also checked both the HDD and fans; they make the same kind of noise, but that's normal for both of these components.
