What do I need to consider when buying a new charger for my Aspire 3 A315-53?

5 months ago, a friend borrowed my laptop and returned it to me on June. And after 3 months of using it, she told me that the original charger of my laptop wasn't working. So, she purchased a new one. Two weeks ago, another friend of mine borrowed it. She said that when she tried to charge the laptop, she smelled the wirings of the charger, so she unplugged it. When it was returned to me, I can no longer use it. So, I wanna purchase a charger that fits well with my laptop and I can use for a very long time. Should I just look for the original charger's model, output and input to find a perfect one?

P.S this is my original charger

The most important item is the size of the power adapter DC barrel plug pin as there are different pin sizes for the same adapter model available: for the A315-53 that is: 5.5mm O.D. x 1.7mm I.D., 65-Watt: https://www.ebay.ph/itm/323969806317

Your original charger for the Aspire A315-53 is a 45W type charger, so buy the same that I've highlighted below and use the Acer part numbers to search on the web for an original charger that Acer make. I've also included the batteries as a future guide for you. Good luck and hope it works out for you.
