mic quality is horrible in clips/videos

title kinda says it all my mic quality is horrible in clips/videos but if i do like a mic test the audio quality is perfect idk what else to put since thats my only problem with the laptop

    Hi sillygoober5000,

    Depending on model, lowering media volume can improve power delivery to the mic to result better recording, especially when you're recording on battery. This may also be related to the "Balanced" power profile in Windows, consider changing that to "Performance".

    Also check if the holes that are for mics getting clogged, but since you said mic tests are perfect, impact from this is likely mild.

    Another thing to look at is the microphone volume for both the game/recording software/system. Don't turn it all the way up or your voice will be maxing out the audio. Tests are done differently with a preset something near 50 (half the meter).
