You don't have to follow nvidia control panel settingsas it may consume more power

(Guide will help to reduce unwanted system resources, make sure you did windows update, update gpu driver, etc)

There may be several reasons for the accelerated power consumption of the pool. Firstly, the performance of the battery itself may decrease with increasing usage time, which is a normal battery aging process. Secondly, after the number of charging and discharging cycles of the battery reaches a certain limit, the capacity of the battery may rapidly decrease, leading to a decrease in battery life. In addition, improper usage habits, such as running heavily powered software or hardware, prolonged use of high brightness screens, and connecting multiple unused USB devices, can also accelerate the battery's power consumption rate.

If your laptop battery can maintain a range of 4-5 hours at the beginning of use, but now only has one hour, it may indicate that the health of the battery has deteriorated. Lithium batteries are usually pre charged with a certain amount of electricity when they leave the factory, but this does not mean that the performance of the battery will sharply decline after a month. If the battery's power consumption speed suddenly increases, it is recommended that you check the following points:

    1. Confirm whether the battery is physically damaged, such as expansion, leakage, etc.
    2. Check if the battery has been replaced or if it has been sold in the second-hand market before purchase.
    3. Ensure that your laptop is not running any background programs or services, which may consume additional power.
    4. Adjust screen brightness, turn off unnecessary devices, and set the power mode to energy-saving mode to extend battery life.
    5. If possible, try restoring the factory settings to troubleshoot software issues.

My experience is that you need to carefully check the pictures and product parameters when purchasing.

    1. If your battery is still within the warranty period, you can contact Acer after-sales to replace the battery.
    2. Check the computer's motherboard or battery driver to see if it is the latest version.
    3. If the battery management software of the Acer computer can view the number of cycles and remaining capacity of the battery, you can check whether the battery has obvious quality problems. For example: the number of cycles is less than 30 times, and the capacity has dropped by 60%. Or download a Batterymon program to view battery information.
    4. It is possible that the battery needs to be recalibrated.
    5. Check for viruses to see if there is mining software or Trojan software that is secretly consuming battery energy.
    6. You can consider buying a acer laptop battery from amazon or ebay or some battery online stores.☺️ https://www.b2c-laptop-batteries.com/acer-laptop-batteries.html
