My screen got broken and I'm in the market for a replacement. A local store has a screen that is compatible with the model Predator PH317-53-75SY, would that work for my model as well (Predator PH317-53)?

Thank you for your help.

The replacement screen for the Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-53-75SY model would work for your Predator PH317-53 model as well. The key compatibility factors are the screen size, resolution, and connector type, which are the same between the two models. The local store's screen for the PH317-53-75SY should be a direct replacement for your PH317-53 laptop.

However, to be absolutely certain, it's advisable to check the specifications and compatibility details provided by the local store and compare factors just to make

Just some further advice and explanation of how the Acer models are numbered and how the screens are allocated. The Acer PH317-53 laptops are the basic model number of the Acer product, the last 4 digits are the specific specifications that Acer equips the PH317-53 with, so that the Predator PH317-53-75SY model has the following specs:

    1. Core™ i5-9300H cpu/
    2. 17.3" LED, 16:9 Full HD (1920 x 1080), ComfyView, 144 Hz refresh rate screen/
    3. NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 (up to 6 GB GDDR6)/
    4. 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM/
    5. 512 GB M.2 SSD/
    6. EEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi/

So your local store has a Predator PH317-53-75SY 17" screen that is a 144Hz refresher rate screen with a 40 pin plug (all 144Hz and above refresher rate screens have a 40 pin plug) for the eDP cable which connects the screen to the laptop, which is the most important specs that you have to make sure that your PH317-53 laptop has the same, as if your PH317-53 laptop has 60Hz refresher rate screen, its got a 30pin screen plug and your eDP cable has a 30 pin which will not fit the 144Hz screen plug and you will need to buy a 30pin to 40pin adapter. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.
