High-Performance mode. There are many applications/programs running in the background. You are using a highly power-intensive program on your laptop, such as an editing software.

Major reasons why acer laptop battery draining fast:-

 Connected Standby is not supported, the device is likely going into a traditional sleep mode, which can consume more power and lead to a rapid discharge of the battery.

You got that right, you can add that there is no way to slow-down battery wear/degradation, a good quality battery will last 1000 charge cycles or 4-5 years whatever you try with "calibrations", "training" and limiting battery charging to 80%.
