I want to confirm the number of SSD slots available in this model.

Also, what SSD would you recommend to install? How to know what models are compatible with this laptop?

The Predator Helios PH315-53 M.2 slots are NOT A PCIe4X4 M.2 SLOT ts boot M.2 SSD is a PCIe Gen.3x4 and its slave is a slower PCIe3x2 max speed slot, as its specs quote the Storage 2 as being a PCIe/SATA M.2 slot (see caption below) but you can put a PCIe3x4 M.2 SSD drive into the Storage 2 slot and it will work at a lower speed (do an M.2 speed test with CrystalDyskMark) to find out the speed as the PCIe3x2 read/write speeds is at around max 2000MB/s or lower.

The quickest PCIe3x4 M.2 tested drives that will work 100% and fully with your Predator Helios PH315-53 laptop and that have been benchmarked tested by a comprehensive guide from Tom's Hardware, which quotes the fastest PCIe3x4 M.2 drives as the following:

    1. For the 1TB drive its the WD Blue SN580 1TB at sequential speed of 4,174MB/s and Copy speed at 1,501MB/s
    2. For the 2TB drive its the Intel SSD 670p 2TB at sequential speed of 3,218MB/s and Copy speed at 1,061MB/s.
    3. For the 4TB drive its the Sabrent Rocket Q 4TB at sequential 3,224MB/s and Copy speed at 878MB/s

Have a look at all these M.2 drives tested speeds here at SSD Benchmarks Hierarchy 2024 as I wouldn't go by what manufacturers quote their speeds at as most of the time those speeds are exaggerated. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.

Can you point out to me what are the two "2x M.2 PCIe x4 Gen 4 slots." in the picture, please?

    Hi,

Sorry if I'm asking the same question again but just to confirm, both the slots support gen 4 ssd right?

One more question, besides the two SSD slots, I believe there is a HDD slot, right? Sorry I am for now putting a "no" in your answer but this is the closing one
