Windows 11 blocks my yahoo of 31 years, 450 years of family history, and 58 movies I'm in. 31 years of my work. A factory restore is supposed to go down to the disc, and reinstall windows 10. Not switch to useless Windows 11. Hasn't been a decent Windows program since Windows 7.

If you backup your data to an external drive, you won't lose anything or if you cannot backup anymore you can take your old drive out (HDD or SSD) and mount that in an external USB case and transfer your data to another Windows PC. Window7 was a good OS but Windows11 is far better in all aspects, security, virtual Windows, muti-media/browsing/graphics/gaming, perfect updating including Acer's drivers/firmware but most of all it is must faster, prioritizes main and background programs and is the most robust and stable Windows OS for last generation PCs.

Just some additional advice, especially with such valuable data that you have and are constructing, and this tragic thing that has happened to you. It would help also if you told us the model of your Acer PC (laptop or desktop or AIO?) as the only PC compatible from Win-10 to Win-11 are specific Intel and AMD cpu's that are all on a mainboard that has the version TPM 2.0 security chip, otherwise the official Microsoft compliance Win-11 23Hs new version or any version will not install, so you must have one of the compatible PCs for Win-11 as " Why is my Windows 10 acer listed as a windows 11 ?" would NOT be happening as the new install that you did must have been of Win-11.

If you can't find or lost the your valuable data then I would strongly recommend that you STOP everything on that boot drive, and take the old boot Win-10 HDD where all your valuable data is on and now its Win-11 to a specialist "Data Recovery Technician" that specializes in HDD recovery ONLY and can recover deleted and formatted data from a HDD even if its damaged, do NOT take this drive to a repair technician "that calls himself a data recoveree" as the specialist recovery technicians have all the specialist hygienic environment to recover all the lost data that your old HDD and technical repair knowledge to repair and recover most if not all the valuable data that you lost.

I speak from personal experience with a 2TB backup external HDD that I had 1.6TB of all my kids' photos and very valuable memories on this HDD and the HDD head and platter were damaged and faulty and I couldn't operate this external HDD anymore, but I took my damaged HDD to a data recovery specialist, and they recovered 99% of the 1.6TB valuable data that I had. Its up to you but imo that is the most reliable and sure way to recover your valuable data. Good luck and Hope this helps you out, as I really know in what predicament you are in, and its not nice.
