My laptop model is ACER Aspire A3 a315-56.

I want to shift in ssd.

Can I use Apacer AS2280P4 M.2 PCIe™ Gen3 x4 SSD.

Is this possible?

The Aspire A315-56 laptop has an Interface M.2 slot that runs at max PCIe Gen3x2 speed, which is not as fast as a PCIe3x4, but Acer fits M.2 PCIe3x4 up to 1TB INTEL-SSDPEKNW010T8 LF+HF PCIe3x4 interface drives, as all these M.2 drives are backward compatible and putting the Apacer AS2280P4 M.2 PCIe™ Gen3 x4 SSD into this laptop will work 100% but you will not get the full read/write claimed speed (as these speeds are exaggerated), so be aware of this right from the beginning.

Aspire A315-56 M.2 slot and drive

Your Apacer AS2280P4 M.2 PCIe™ Gen3 x4 SSD. drive, which Apacer claim is, Sequential Read Performance: Up to 3,000MB/s and Sequential Write Performance: Up to 2,000MB/s as these speeds will be lowered to the PCIe3x2 speeds that your Aspire M.2 slot has which is around +/- Read 2200MB/s and Write 1800MB/s but its best that you do a CrystalDiskMark M.2 benchmarking test as that will show you what the Apacer AS2280P4 M.2 read/write speeds will be in a PCIe3x2 M.2 slot of your laptop. Good luck.
