I have bought a new A16-51GM laptop and install fresh Windows 11 distro.
After installing drivers from recovery partiton, i have checked
temperature measures and noticed throttling in AIDA64. After that i've
installed intel XTU and noticed thermal and power limit p cores
throttling. Thermal throttling lasts for couple of seconds max, usually
about 0.5 sec. Even after reducing Turbo boost Power Max to 25W it
happens sometimes.

i used balanced power mode, in performance mode, it throttles more
often. In Ubuntu 24.04 balanced mode everything is ok, i don't see these
temperature jumps.

Is thermal throttling normal on a new laptop? Can it
reduce device lifetime? Thank you for your help.

This Thermal throttling can be reduced by closing unnecessary programs and background processes and limiting the number of programs running simultaneously. This can help to reduce the amount of heat being produced and prevent the device from overheating. It is also important to keep the device's air vents clean and dust-free.
