Aspire A515-54-51DJ no choices in F12 boot menu

I created a Windows media creation tool with my Aspire A515. Then I swapped the SDD that came with my Aspire (2019 vintage with 256 GB). An new Kingston SDD (500 GB) was installed. When I opened the BIOS, I have I enabled the F12 Boot Menu, saved changes and shut down. When I restarted the notebook I tapped F12. The Boot menu opened, but there are no choices. I tried this again with the USB inserted that holds the Media Creation Tool, same result.
Could someone help me please?

Temporarily disable Secure Boot in BIOS. If you still don't see the USB drive in Boot devices, see if that flash drive is detected on another Windows PC, if that PC won't see the USB drive either you did something wrong in Media Creation.
