Hello,

For a while now, my moacer swift 314-54-58PU has been having problems starting up. I've already pressed the battery reset button on the back of the PC for 30 seconds, which solved the problem once, but this time it didn't work.

After using the PC for 30 minutes (fully charged), it crashed and won't restart.

When charging, no LED lights up, and when pressing the power button, the orange LED lights up once briefly, then nothing.

Even if you leave it plugged in, nothing works.

Usually the switch-on is just very long with strange automatic restarts and moreover impossible to turn off the pc simply I have to turn it off after a certain time by leaving the power button pressed, as if a process was preventing the extinction.

Thank you in advance 😅

HI @Stimm4 does the equipment have a warranty? The best thing in these cases is to have it seen by a technical service since the problem may be related to the battery or the internal power device, in any case, wait for more answers.

    All the best.

Are you sure the power supply is functioning? It sounds like the battery is depleted and the charger isn't charging…

Unfortunately, I lost the invoice and I think that I can't send it for repairs if I lost this document. Isn't it ?

I think that the power supply work because the orange LED is sometimes turn on when I connect it but not always and even if the battery is fully charged, the computer crash and it goes out while I'm using it.

But most of the times, even if the battery is fully charged (LED is blue) the computer won't start.

If I register the product, I think you can check the warranty status from the product page.

    Greetings.

The SF314-54 was released in 2019, so it's very unlikely to still be in warranty. If the charging indicator light sometimes doesn't come on when you plug it in, there's an issue with the charger or it's connection. If it always comes on but is sometimes amber and sometimes blue that's OK.

Once it has passed the potential full warranty period, registering it would just add it to your list of products. Often they purge the SN and SNIDs from the database around that time. Your SF314-54 model has a short cable running between the motherboard and the DC-In jack. What sometimes happens with these is the jack comes loose from it's mount so when you push the plug in it shifts internally and doesn't make as good of contact. That can be especially true if that hinge is starting to pull loose from the case. The hinge helps to hold it in place. Since you are very likely out of warranty, you might want to open it up and take a look at that…
