PH315-55

So I had blue screen "DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE" while doing some programming. I waited for a while and it said 100% completed or something. I decided that I can just press the power button to restart the laptop, but every time I press it just the turbo fan mode light turns off, but the laptop fans stay still, and after a short while (3-4 sec) the turbo mode light goes black. If I connect the charger I can see the light at the side of the laptop. I've tried to hold down power button for some time, but after 10-15 seconds it just does that turbo mode light again.

Try to do a Hard Reset as this resets the EC and Chipset chip that govern the On/Off functions and many more functions of your laptop. To do the hard reset you need to take the main battery out first, then disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and shorts its +&- pins at the mainboard plug and then take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for 15min (but its preferable for 1 hour min) and then reconnect everything, if you have 2x ram modules only connect one to see if the ram could be a problem, as after you have done all this the laptop should reset and reboot perfectly. If not, then when you disturbed the windows update you must have corrupted the boot files and that is why your laptop won't boot properly and you need to get into Advanced options > Startup Repair and try and fix that. Good luck

Note: The Driver Power State Failure error is a blue screen error that occurs when there is a problem with a device driver or power setting. It can happen when you wake up the system from the Sleep or Hibernation mode or when booting up the system. To fix this error, you can try to update or uninstall the device drivers, especially the network and display adapters, or adjust the power settings to turn off power saving. You can also restart the laptop to see if it was a temporary glitch.
