Acer Nitro 5 an515-54 power button not working at all
hello guys I've been having this issue with my Acer Nitro 5 an515-54 it was working fine until the power button stopped working totally the battery indicator is still on so nothing is wrong with it but I guess even my motherboard is in good shape what seems weird is that when I try to short the power links on the back it turns on normally I tried a keyboard test to see if the power button is still working but it seems unresponsive
do you guys have any idea how to fix it without replacing the whole keyboard cause seems like the only solution for now is keeping the back of the laptop without screws in case i want to turn it on again i updated the bios reinstalled windows and did all the latest updates but still nothing

The power button on the AN515-54 laptop is part of the keyboard and the only way to fix it is to take the keyboard out and inspect the power key functionality if it needs cleaning for it to function or replacing, and that can only be done if the keyboard is removed. You can also buy backlight copy keyboard from eBay for this laptop but you either take the keyboard out yourself or get a technician to this for you. Good luck.

thank you soo much because it's been such a pain to take the back panel off every time i want to boot up my pc it's kinda bad to have to change the whole keyboard just to fix the power button but i'll check the keyboard first to see if i can fix it if not i go with a new keyboard for it thanks for your response
