I have watched every single video on YouTube hoping to fix the problem but every video is not helpful Because my laptop does not have any option for UEFI or Legacy so I checked and I also can't even turn on safe boot. any help will be appreciated. my Laptop is an Acer aspire v3- 471g and it uses windows 10 home single language it uses Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz, with 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, 8gb RAM, Version 22H2.

Your Aspire V3-471G didn't have a UEFI bios and I don't think that its bios can be upgraded/changed to a UEFI type bios like the Aspire V3-571G that were released with an ordinary bios and were able to be upgraded to a UEFI bios. I've owned an Aspire V3-571G since new and when I bought this laptop it had an ordinary legacy bios version 1.xx but later the Aspire V3-571(G) models were released from Acer with the UEFI bios the version 2.xx and there was a mod from the ordinary Legacy bios to be upgraded to the UEFI bios. My V3-571G has a UEFI bios with Win-10 Pro 64bit OS and its been operating perfectly until today, great laptop.

Note about the V3-471G bios: The BIOS of the Aspire V3-471G is not explicitly mentioned whether it was released with a UEFI type BIOS. However, given that it was released in 2012, it’s likely that it used a traditional BIOS rather than UEFI. UEFI became more common in later years, especially with newer hardware.

This is a Window 8.1 laptop from 2012 that supports only UEFI. Note that the Aspire V3-471 models have a 3rd Gen chipset and Windows 11 requires at least 8th Gen CPU. BTW Safe Boot is a Windows option in MSconfig.exe while Secure Boot is the option in BIOS that I believe you want to activate, try setting a password in BIOS save changes on exit BIOS and reboot again to BIOS with F2, check if you can turn on Secure Boot now.

The V3-461G laptop was released later with a UEFI bios for Win-8 but your V3-471G is a Win-7 normal bios type laptop like when I bought my V3-571G laptop, and I don't think that there is a mod to change the normal bios to a UEFI bios like with my V3-571G that I applied. Note, that allot of advice is given from people that haven't owned and/or done the mods and/or know anything about these laptops, I know this from personal experience with the next model up laptop the Aspire V3-571G as I've mentioned above as you can do whatever youi want. Good luck.
