I am experiencing an issue with my laptop. Sometimes, when I open the lid after it has been in sleep mode, the screen stays black and does not respond, even if I press the power button multiple times. This issue also occurs occasionally when the laptop is shut down and I try to boot it up. The only temporary solution I've found is to plug in the laptop and then press the power button, which seems to resolve the problem. Is this a major issue, and are there any potential fixes I can try?
Btw I have the Acer Swift Go 14 sfg14-72-53bp

Does it happen when shifting the screen position, open or closed? If so it might be an issue with the cable that runs between the motherboard and display. If it's not a cable issue it might be a battery problem, but your Swift Go is new enough that shouldn't be it. You should still be in warranty so go ahead and contact Acer support and see what they say.

Like it happens randomly, i don't change any settings or stuff but when i try to open the laptop from sleep or try to boot it up this happens.

Does it ever happen without coming off a sleep mode?

I accidentally marked it as the answer. Yeah, the issue once occurred while I was browsing the web, but I haven't noticed the blacking-out problem for a couple of days now. I switched to normal usage mode and set "Never" for both "Turn off display" and "Put the computer to sleep" in the power settings. I also did a battery reset using the pin method. One of these changes might have fixed the problem, but I'm not entirely sure yet if it's completely resolved.

I'll see if I can get a moderator to remove the 'answer' flag. Keep watching for it to try and pin it down, Windows can be a bit weird with what they see as connecting and disconnecting the charger at different times.

Yeah, it's probably Windows causing the issue. I might switch to Manjaro after a while for my work. That should help us determine if it's a software or hardware problem.

You might just drop a second NVMe SSD in there and configure dual boot…

I might do that in the future.
I am concerned about the exhaust vents directly releasing the hot air towards the bottom side of the OLED panel. Can it cause any damage to the display in the long run?

Not that I've seen, and I've been using Spin style laptops for quite some time now. Due to the 360° hinge setup they will always discharge the cooling air through there. I find they run a little louder in laptop mode than in tablet mode, but haven't seen any issues with the airflow even during the hot months of summer.
