Hello,

I have an acer aspire 7 with a micron 2210 mtfdhba1t0qfd and windows 11.

I use the laptop for work and yesterday I downloaded a new add-on for Archicad27. The add-on is 23 GB large. I have to copy it to the Program folder and it says it neeeds 7 hours.

Normally the ssd should be around 1000 MB/sec. but right now its just between 100-300 MB/sec.

I don't know much about the subject so, if you need any more information, i'll be happy to answer it.

many thanks in advance

You're not stating your full laptop model, year and what RAM/CPU you have; the Micron 2210 is a NVMe Gen3 SSD and if installed in a M.2 Sata slot x2 it will run at Sata SSD speed, check if the M.2 port you are using is PCIe 3x4. Transferring large files via USB2.0, slow RAM using the Copy command can take long regardless of what SSD. If you have a lot of clutter on your drive and many apps running on the background, constantly backing up to Cloud that will slow down the system a lot (system maintenance).
