How do I get my Nitro AN515-58 to get out of a reset loop after insyde BIOS update fail

Hi,

I made the mistake of choosing the optional update of updating the insyde software BIOS without knowing what it was.

I'm running Windows 11

It went into the installation screen, fans max, and when it was about half-way through the update, the computer just stopped.

All it does is light up the keyboard, turn off the fans for a moment, and then it shuts down and repeats forever. I can shut it down if I press the power button for a bit.

I've tried unplugging the battery and the CMOS battery, and draining the power. Nothing.

I was wondering what else I could do or check. I've tried reaching the support for my country, but the number is apparently unavailable.

Thanks ahead for any help.

Good afternoon, @cheeseoverdose. I'm Brazilian and sorry any mistakes in my english (I'm practicing). If you did an accidental update of your BIOS, and the process was interrupted, maybe your last hope is really the support in your country.

But, there are some tests you can do before it:

    1. You can check if the warnings of your BIOS are working. To do this, you try to turn on your PC without RAM sticks, and check if the BIOS make some sound warning.
    2. If this do not work, try putting the RAM again and remove the SSD and HD (if you have one). If it turns on without the SSD, you may be able to see your BIOS in the screen.
    3. But, if it doesn't work, try to turn on your computer again (with all the components in their places, and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + Del). Check if the logo appears in your screen, at least.
    4. If it appears, immediately press F2, F10 or F12 and check if there's a response of the BIOS. (Repeat the steps 2 and 3, with each one of them, and check if your BIOS is working).

If nothing else works, it will be necessary to rewrite the flash memory of your BIOS (and a specific equipment is necessary to do it).

    @cheeseoverdose

If you have another computer, download the latest BIOS for your AN515-58, and extract the .exe file with Winrar or other archiver software.

Put these two .fd files into a USB and plug it into your laptop while it is off.

Hold Fn+Esc key first and press the power button to turn on the laptop. Keep holding both keys untill you hear the fan run at full speed. Wait until the laptop reboot itself.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
