Need SSD solution for "Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-51M5".

I want to buy Acer ssd "FA100 1TB" for "Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-51M5". How it will be for gaming like Battlefield 2042 or Cyberpunk 2077? Can I run gen 4 ssd on it?

FA100 1TB is a Gen3 SSD, runs at 3,300 MBps, no DRAM the very popular and reliable Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB SSD has DRAM and runs at 3,500 MBps. (see Benchmark test below). You can use a Gen4 SSD like the very fast Samsung 980Pro Gen4 but it will run at slower Gen3 speed (half of the rated speed) in a PCIe 3x4 slot.

Yes, you can use the Acer FA100 SSD. You can still use Gen 4 SSD but it will run at Gen 3 speed as this laptop does not have PCIe Gen 4. Those games will depend on the CPU and GPU. SSD will just help with faster game loading time.

Got it. SSD with DRAM is better & gen 4 ssd will be just show. Buying gen 3 is better option than gen 4 for my laptop. Thank you very much.
