Boy that is an oldie, Christmas 2010 ship date IIRC. It won't be a BIOS issue and it's old enough that support files have been purged from Acer's site. What are the spec on yo8ur machine? I see it supports up to 8GB of DDR3 1066 memory using two SO-DIMM sticks, so Windows 10 should work, albeit slowly. Do you still have an HDD or have you upgraded to a SSD? What apps are running on it? Does your Event Log show anything amiss?

    Appreciate your answer.

    My laptop spec :

    Acer Aspire 4750

    Processor : Intel Core i5-2410M @ 2.29GHz 2 Cores, 4 Threads

    Ram : ADATA 4Gb ddr3

    SSD : DELORA 120GB

    OS : Windows 10 Home

Other tasks run smoothly, but problems occur with system shutdown and restart.
Windows shuts down normally, but the laptop does not turn off. Same goes for restarting

Try to check in the device manager to see if all drivers are installed correctly.

After pressing shutdown in Windows, how long does the power LED stay on?

Open Power Options and on the left, Choose what the power button does. Is it set to Shut down of Hibernate?

Go to change plan settings, Change advanced power settings, Sleep and disable Hybrid sleep and Hibernate.
