After dropping my Acer laptop, it showed a 'no bootable device' error. I tried troubleshooting but ended up reinstalling the hard drive, which temporarily fixed it. However, the fan started making noise, and it froze after an hour. I decided to leave it for some hours which seemed to work at first but the same fan noise started and my laptop turned off. When i try to turn it on it says no bootable device. Should i take it to a repair store? How much is it going to cost (An estimation) or how much is a hard drive for acer? I m worried as this is my father’s laptop :(

    @Mashyet

    What is the model of the laptop?

    If the laptop uses an HDD, it will hardly work again after the drop. The fan is broken causing noise and overheating making the laptop have to shut down itself.

    Or if the laptop has an SSD, it is just a loose connection.

    The 1TB HDD will be ~ $30 and the fan will be ~ $20-30 depending on the laptop model.
