Hi, we have recently purchased this monitor for my son to play Xbox on, but it doesn't seem to be able to play sound, and we can't find an audio out jack anywhere. Is there a way we can play sound on this monitor?

Thanks :)

Both VG270 M3BMIIPX and VG270 Sbmiipx models have internal speakers and audio-out ports, The VG0-270 model Acer Part: UM.HV0EE.001 also supports audio, Check the ports and try a different port (VGA?)

I believe your monitor is one of the VG270S models, such as the VG270 Sbmiipx mentioned above. The letters after the 'S' define what options are installed, such as video ports and speakers. Some of the models have speakers and some don't, with a $20-20 difference between them. The ports on the back for the ones with speakers will have up to three video ports (2 HDMI and 1 DP IIRC) and a headphones port. The headphones port is the audio out. Also if you have speakers there will be an entry in the OSD like this:

That allows setting output volume on the speakers. If you don't have that menu and don't have the headphones jack, yours isn't an audio model and you will have to use external speakers attached to the computer.
