I rarely ran into the issue of my laptop crashing or blue screening, but it has worsened over the past week to the point where it is now unusable because it blue screens or shuts down after a few minutes of use. The blue screen flashes very quickly so i haven’t been able to see any error messages or other info on it. If i hold down the power button to turn it off then press it once to turn it on again, it will usually start up like normal until it crashes again after a few minutes. Sometimes i get the “no bootable device” error when i start it up. The crashing happens no matter the activity- playing a game, watching videos, or simply idle with no programs running. The laptop is also over 3 years old and has been in nearly constant use every day.

You exacerbate the BSOD problems by aborting the system with the Power Button, each time you do that a system file is corrupted that will be refreshed when you successfully boot to Windows again but not when the booting fails. You should use Alt+F4 to close a hanging app or Ctrl+Alt+Del to shut down. See if you can "Reset this PC" without losing your files. Reboot and as soon as you see the Acer/Predator logo press Alt+F10 and you should see the blue WindowsRE screens with the Trouble shoot menu click on "Reset this PC" with the option to keep your data.
