one day my acer nitro v15 suddenly turns off when i unplugged it. then i noticed that my laptop didn't turned on without the charger. the battery was stuck at 0% , i checked the battery health report, it was 97%, i updated the battery drivers, still nothing, and if i go the the site to claim warranty, it says invalid sn/snid, but its correct, cuz i registered that product with the same snid.

how can i fix it or claim the warranty..

Your Nitro V15 needs a Hard Reset which could reset the freezing problem that the EC chip could be affected by and causing this problem (which is very common) but this entails opening the back cover and disconnecting the main battery first, then the RTC/BIOS battery and shortening the +&- plug at the mainboard to reset the CMOS and taking the ram out, then leaving the laptop like that for 15min and reconnecting everything and rebooting the laptop, as this hard reset should reboot your laptop and make it function properly. Make sure that you check the screws that secure the back cover if they have a safety mark and if opening the laptop back cover voids the warranty of your laptop in your country by phoning Acer to make sure.

If the above hard reset doesn't work, then you have a main or charging rail problem inside your Nitro V15 laptop that is shorting the charging rail of your laptop out. This laptop is a new laptop, and you should get Acer Tech Support in your country to fix and analyze this problem for you.

Also, see what the command prompt battery report says about the battery charge/health, as 97% means nothing, if its wear level its bad if its health then its good, so do a proper battery proper report like below and attach it to your next post, as imo your laptop has internal circuitry problems that you should get Acer to fix or replace the mainboard. Remember that parts on these new gaming laptops are very expensive and the cost of a new replacement and fitting a new mainboard cost nearly as much as a new laptop. Goos luck.

How to generate a Battery Report on Windows 10 and Windows 11

Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.

Type the following command to create a battery report on Windows 11 and press Enterpowercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery_report.html"
