Acer Predator G-710 KBL motherboard replacement

I have an Acer Predator with the G-710 KBL motherboard, an Intel i7-7700 CPU & NAVIDA GeForce GTX 1070. It cannot be upgraded to W11. And no more modern CPU is accepted by the mobo. Are there any more modern motherboards that would fit the case, and (hopefully) fix the GPU? I am hoping to avoid having to replace everything.

Your desktop is not the Predator G7-710 its the Predator G3-710😀 which is a 2016 desktop that does not have the TPM 2.0 security chip on its mainboard for Win-11 or a compatible cpu for Win-11, as this desktop runs on a 7th Gen Intel Socket 1151 type CPU and came oem from Acer with Win-10 Home. You will need to upgrade the mainboard to a new Gen 8 or above type CPU, and upgrade the mainboard to a new mainboard that has the TPM security 2.0 version chip.

I suggest that you buy the appropriate suitable following components: a new cpu, ram and a modular 24pin PSU and even upgrade to a new RTX4070 gpu (but with the gpu make sure you measure the spaces that you have inside the case and the new mainboard) and foremostly a gpu that suits your total budget, as that is what you will need to do to make this desktop a worthwhile and compatible desktop to operate and game with the Win-11 OS perfectly, so its up to you and the budget that you are wiling to spend on an upgrade, but don't forget, that sometimes n upgrade will cost you much more than buying a new Predator PO3-650 which has all the latest comports that I'm listing below.

To achieve an upgrade you first need to measure your existing mainboard size and PSU size in your Predator B3-710 as Acer does not specify the exact form factor of the Mainboard or the PSU sizes, then and afterwards, see which is the appropriate budget mainboard that suits the Predator G3-710 desktops case (I think its the form factor size: mATX size mainboards that will fit into the old Predator G3-710 case) also measure the existing PSU and the size of case PSU space and see which modular PSU will fit into that space also, don't use the existing 24pin single phase PSU that Acer provided for the G3-710 buy a new modular PSUs which are allot better quality and more compatible to the new components and will minimize wires that you need to install into your case.

Here is a fairly mid to upper range Gen 13 cpu gaming/editing upgrade setup that you could use as a guide for an upgrade with a microATX mainboard, a 13Th Gen Intel CPU, a cheap RTX4070 GPU and 32GB at 2x 16GB DDR5-5600MHz type ram. see if this suits your budget?

    • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-G Gaming WiFi (supports Intel® Socket LGA1700 for Intel® Core™ 14th & 13th Gen Processors, Intel® Core™ 12th Gen, Pentium® Gold and Celeron® Processors - Supports Intel® 10 nm CPU - Supports Intel® 14 nm CPU - Form Factor: microATX (24.4cm x 24.4cm (9.6" x 9.6")
    • RAM - 4 x DIMM, Max. 128GB, DDR5 6000(OC)/5800(OC)/5600(OC)/5400(OC)/5200(OC)/5000(OC)/4800 Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory*
    • Core i7-13700K - 16 core/8 threads cpu that runs at a Max Turbo Frequency of 5.40 GHz
    • Corsair RM750X - 750W Modular PSU
    • Zotac Spider-Man Across - this RTX4070 GPU from Zotac the Spider-Verse Edition is the cheapest priced 40 series GPU at USD $519.

The above is only a suggestion but you can narrow that list down to suite your budget as that is what you will need to do for a reasonable upgrade that will last you a while. Good luck.
