My acer nitro 5 an515-57 is shifting every second between the integrated and dedicated gpu.

Integrated: Intel UHD

Dedicated: rtx 3050

When I play a game and the rtx starts to kick something in above 40%, it shifts to intel uhd that's why I have shifting fps of 10-187 in very low graphics. The game I play was set to rtx in graphics settings and nvidia control panel. When I move my game in intel uhd in graphics settings, it use only intel uhd and it works fine in low graphics. I tried to disable the intel uhd, the rtx didn't use max load have low fps even in low graphics. Rtx driver is updated. Gpu voltage is 0.6 sometimes 0.8 (17-19w) at stable state when I set graphics to lowest. When I add load to game graphics and it starts to shift between two, the voltage is playing 0.8-1.1 (17-28w). Gpu temp 50-60C

First uninstall all the Intel and NVidia graphics completely off your laptop, then install the GeForce Experience software, as this specialist NVidia software will scan your laptop for the latest NVidia AN515-57 game ready graphics and audio drivers, then and once the GeForce Experience software downloaded the latest NVidia graphics and audio drivers for the AN515-57, have a look at the top right corner of the GFE as as you have the option of doing a Custom Installation > perform a Clean Installation for the new game ready drivers

Afterwards always play your games through the GeForce Experience internal NVidia settings as GeForce Experience has settings for all the major games and over 1500 games that are on the market and will always use the best and most appropriate gpu settings for the games that you play, and this software will always set your game settings to their utmost fps settings.

After you install the Nvidia graphics and audio drivers and everything works 100% without any fps drops, leave the Intel graphics to be updated by windows update ONLY as the Intel graphics updates are NOT important for gaming on your laptop, try all the above and let us know. Good luck.

@StevenGen do you mean all the drivers or just the graphics drivers?

Just the graphics drivers of both Intel Arc through Control Panel and the Intel Iris ® Xi ® through Device Manager and with the NVidia use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.7.6 as that will completely uninstall all traces of NVidia drivers on your AN515-57 so you can start with a clean install.

The Intel graphics will be reinstalled by Windows but with the NVidia graphics you need that DUU to completely uninstall the drivers first. Then install the GeForce Experience program that will download the latest RTX3050 Win-11 game ready driver for your AN515-57 laptop and follow the installation guide above. Do all this as this should allow the RTX3050 game ready driver to setting to work without integrating with the Intel graphics at all. Good luck.

Have your laptop check by a technician to see why both graphics processors are working together like in your laptop does, as it could be a hardware problem as you have done everything software wise. Good luck.
